The Open Access Publisher and Free Library

About

Our Mission (not impossible)

Freedom, Equity and Open Access in publishing is our mission. This means that all authors should have free access to publishing their works, and all readers should have free access to all works published. That’s right, we aim to make available for open access all books, even those that Read-Me.Org has not published. We take the idea of Free Library seriously and literally. Free libraries are probably the greatest contribution to all resilient civilizations. That is why we aim to establish the best online library ever in conjunction with our open access publishing. .

Our Focus

We hear you! We can’t possibly publish everything or fill a library with everything! That is why we have decided to confine our open access venture to the the twin fields of Justice and Equity, fields that we think are central to our mission, and by rights should be central to any mission that concerns knowledge, freedom to it, freedom to contribute to it. Are not Justice and Equity the backbone of any civilized society, East, West, North or South?

What we publish and collect

The short answer: everything that touches our twin fields of Justice and Equity. But what, one must ask, does the word “publish” mean these days? By publishing a book or article, one presumably intends that everyone out there is invited to read it. Like Amazon, we publish your work for free. And, unlike Amazon, we give your work away. In short, send us anything you have written yourself and we will publish it. Or, send us, or tell us about, books whose copyright you own, or know is out of copyright and we will republish it as a an Open access Read-Me.Org reprint.

How we publish

We publish any works created by an author, of any genre, fiction, nonfiction, books, articles, essays, letters, and memoirs that focus on our twin fields of Justice and Equity. By “publish” we mean place a clean, nicely presented pdf file on our web site, available for open access, to all who wish to read or download them. Depending on the condition and what type of material you send to us, we will place on our web site a pdf version of the work. If you are an author and wish to submit, please see the For Authors page.
