It may also prove useful to establishments for persons regarded as addicted, psychotic, retarded, or any other designations of deviance, provided their clients are considered modifiable, so that they may be helped to merit such labels as "reformed." "cured." "rehabilitated," "normal," "educated," "trained," or, minimally, "improved." Our concern is with organizations for example, prisons, probation offices, treatment centers, hospitals, clinics, and training schools- which proclaim that one of their objectives is to make their clients no longer deviant, or less deviant than previously.”
